Strawberries: Good for Your Teeth

Posted .

There are so many varieties of foods, drinks, and substances out there that recognizing which are great for your teeth can be a real chore. Here are a few teeth-healthy treats that you can eat with confidence:

Celery. Celery’s natural structure helps it act like a toothbrush scraping away bacteria and debris, and it has vitamin A and vitamin C, so it helps along strong gums.

Cheese. Cheese might be the food with the largest fan club, and we’re fans of the great things it can do for oral health. Once you eat it, cheese decreases the acidity in your mouth. This, along with the protein and calcium in cheese, makes cheese a tooth-friendly food!

Strawberries. Strawberries contain malic acids, which can be an awesome natural whitener for your enamel. Since they contain lots of vitamin C, they can also help strengthen the strength of your pearly whites. If you do opt to eat strawberries, be alert and ensure to brush and floss afterward: the seeds and acids left from strawberries can cause damage.
