If you want brighter and whiter teeth, our teeth-whitening treatment is for you. This treatment is a simple procedure that can whiten your teeth and give you a more attractive smile. Dr. Engelhardt, Dr. Slootmaker, and Dr. Ralston provide an array of teeth-whitening methods that include an in-office treatment and an at-home treatment. These treatments offer different benefits and results, but no matter which treatment you decide to use, it can give you a whiter smile and a more attractive appearance. These treatments are safe and they will not damage your teeth or gums. With that being said, some of these bleaching treatments might cause some sensitivity. However, to avoid the sensitivity, we will give you recommendations and tips that can help you.

In-office Bleaching

Our office uses the KöR bleaching system. This treatment delivers stunning, beautiful, and dependable results. It is also a quick and efficient way to brighten the teeth. With this treatment, we will ask you to first complete a take-home whitening treatment for two weeks. This will help us increase the success of your results.

After you have completed your at-home whitening treatment, you will come back to our office for the in-office portion of your treatment. To begin, your dental technician will retract your cheeks and protect your gums from the whitening solution. Then, the technician will place the whitening gel over your teeth in three – 20 minute cycles.  After the treatment is completed you will be able to see a whiter and brighter smile!

At-home Bleaching

Another beneficial way to brighten your smile is with our at-home whitening treatment. To begin treatment, your dentist will take impressions of your upper and lower teeth which will be used to create custom whitening trays. During the treatment, you will place a small amount of whitening solution in the tray. Then, you will wear the trays for 30 minutes to 1 hour – two times a day. This can vary depending on the individual sensitivity while whitening.  You will do this for 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the severity of your tooth stains and the sensitivity of your teeth. Then touch ups as needed can be completed using the same trays to maintain your white and bright teeth.
