Teeth help us in a variety of ways. They can make your smile look great, they can help you chew, they can assist with talking, and they can keep your oral health in tip-top shape. It can be pretty traumatic to lose a tooth, but it is not a reason to worry! Dr. Engelhardt, Dr. Slootmaker, and Dr. Ralston have many treatment options that can replace your missing teeth. One of those restorations is a denture. At Engelhardt & Associates, we offer two different types of dentures: complete and partial dentures.
A complete denture is a removable appliance that can replace a whole upper jaw of teeth and a whole lower jaw of teeth. It is made specifically for your smile, so it will match your existing teeth and it will look completely natural. Nobody will know you are wearing dentures! This appliance will allow you to keep your smile.
Partial dentures can replace one or more missing teeth. They can often be used when there are natural teeth remaining on both sides of the gap. This is necessary because it needs to clasp to those teeth. This is also a great option if you would like to replace your missing teeth but your jaw cannot support dental implants.
